Our room was spacious comfortable and clean…we liked the decor. Staff at reception were very friendly, always greeting us with a smile. Breakfast was excellent and the wait staff were very attentive. We enjoyed the dinner we had one night at the restaurant and the desserts were delicious. The coffee was good too. Excellent location close to shops and the wharf.

Again, the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful and the location was perfect for us, so close to all the places we wanted to be near. As soon as you step out the door you are in the central city. I was impressed that the person that checked me in remembered my name from my previous stay, almost 12 months ago. Seriously, nothing is an issue for the staff, they are happy to accommodate their guests, mind you we are not demanding ones, but they a super helpful and very easy to talk with. The restaurant is great to pop into at anytime for a coffee or a wine, bonus was that we arrived right on Happy hour and enjoyed a couple of drinks. Chocolate hour was delicious too.

I was most pleased by the affable staff especially Danica the Hotel Manager who was very engaging over the phone even prior to my arrival. I want to commend you, you are exceptional Danica I noticed your attention to detail especially when as guests we had to drop off the rental car at the back entrance to the valet and the next door male attendant (separate business) was quite abrupt to my friend. You were quick to interject and smooth the situation over. You are quite admirable in your efforts. I also want to extend my gratitude to the rest of your staff especially all the female team members at the front desk who handle all the enquiries and remembered my friend "Mr Grey" in greetings whenever we would drop in to collect the car keys.

Modern amenities, high ceilings which made the room feel spacious, wonderful customer service, great view (they placed us in the highest level - 18- and we had a beautiful view of the water and mountains). Concierge and valet were excellent. We were lost on the way to the hotel and had trouble navigating where to park. Richard (staff member) was patient and excellent and even helped us check in even though we had come in through the back door. He was a friendly and was a familiar face we saw throughout our stay and really grateful for his help!

Chocolate o’clock. Every afternoon there are complimentary plates of delicious, dainty chocolate treats. Besides being delicious, they result in a warm community atmosphere at the hotel. People have a common experience and point of connection. It’s super smart and super brilliant. The hotel is in a fabulous, central, convenient location. The staff are friendly and helpful. I arrived early. They happily held my bag while I went for a wander around the markets, then called me when my room was ready, about 2 hours earlier than expected. The facilities are clean, comfortable and well designed. The room was lovely. Smart use of space. Comfortable. I really like the bulk pump pack toiletries - the soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion all smell beautiful and were really high quality, and it’s so nice to see attempts being made to improve environmental impact and waste.

The location of the Movenpick was perfect for buses, information, shops, restaurants, etc. All the staff were exceptional, I particularly liked that the senior staff seemed to muck in and help when it was busy, this is great for staff morale. It was lovely having breakfast made fresh, as opposed to a buffet, I particularly liked that you could have breakfast from 6-4pm. The rooms were clean, modern and comfy.

The lamb ribs at the ground floor restaurant, were outstanding. Location was perfect, the view from the bedroom was great too. I loved the service from one of the receptionists, and also the head of the kitchen. Comfy beds and bedding.

Great location in the centre of Hobart. The harbour and the shopping precinct are only a short walk away. The room was modern and well furnished. Very good bathroom with rain shower and very clean. Very good hotel for a city break!

location was fantastic, a block away from the harbour. rooms were modern and spacious - we booked two interconnecting rooms and and they each had 2 queen sized beds. very comfortable. staff were friendly and helpful. will definitely return

The location in the centre or Hobart CBD was excellent. Easy walking distance to waterfront. The hotel facilities were safe & secure, quiet, modern and clean. The standard rooms are an excellent size and the decor modern with free Wi-Fi.
